This policy explains what data may be processed when you use rozumtech.com, why it is needed, and how you can manage your privacy choices.
Who is responsible for the data
The owner of the RozumTech project is the controller of personal data processed in connection with this website. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
Information we may receive
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, request time, requested URL, server response code, and security data.
- Comments: name, email address, comment text, IP address, and browser information used for moderation and spam prevention.
- Correspondence: your email address, name, and any information you voluntarily include in a message.
- Internal statistics: aggregate article-view totals by date, without storing an IP address or visitor identifier in the views table.
- Analytics: page interactions, approximate location, device characteristics, and referral source, when the required consent has been given.
- Advertising: cookie identifiers, ad impressions and clicks, approximate location, and other signals used by Google and selected advertising providers according to your consent choices.
Why information is used
- To operate, secure, and diagnose the website.
- To publish and moderate comments.
- To respond to messages and requests.
- To measure readership and improve our articles.
- To display and measure advertising and protect it from fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations and defend lawful rights.
Legal bases
Depending on the situation, processing relies on your consent, the need to provide a feature you requested, a legitimate interest in maintaining the website’s security and quality, or a legal obligation. Analytics and advertising technologies that require consent should not activate before that consent is received.
Cookies and local storage
RozumTech uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Necessary: security, WordPress functionality, remembering your privacy choice, and—if you choose it—remembering comment-form details.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, used to understand readership and interaction with articles.
- Advertising: Google AdSense and approved advertising providers, used to deliver ads, limit frequency, measure performance, prevent fraud, and personalize ads when permitted.
Necessary technologies operate without separate consent only to the extent required for a feature you request. Other categories are controlled through our notice or a certified consent management platform. You can change your analytics choice using the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the website. You can also remove cookies in your browser settings.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 helps us understand aggregated statistics such as page views, referrals, device categories, and interactions. We must not send Google a visitor’s name, email address, or other information that directly identifies a person through Analytics. Google states that, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, individual IP addresses are not logged or stored; the address is used for approximate geolocation and discarded before the event is recorded.
GA4 event data is retained for the period configured in the RozumTech account; our working retention period is 14 months. Learn more about how Google uses data from partner sites and read the Google Privacy Policy.
Google AdSense and advertising
The website may display Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to this or other websites. Advertising cookies can help Google and its partners personalize ads, measure their effectiveness, limit repeated impressions, and prevent fraud.
Where required, advertising consent is collected through a certified consent management platform. You can opt out of personalized advertising or change your preferences in Google Ads Settings. Non-personalized advertising may still use the topic of the page and approximate location, and may still process data for measurement and abuse prevention.
Embedded videos.
YouTube videos on RozumTech do not load automatically. The browser does not connect to YouTube until you press play. After that action, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com; YouTube/Google may receive your IP address, device information and interaction data and may use its own storage technologies under its privacy policy.
Other recipients and international transfers
Information may be processed by our hosting provider, security and anti-spam services, Google, and the advertising providers selected in the consent platform. Some providers operate outside the visitor’s country. Where required, they use legally recognized transfer mechanisms and their own data-protection terms.
Retention periods
- Server and security logs are normally retained for up to 90 days, and longer only when required to investigate an incident.
- Email correspondence is normally retained for up to 12 months after a conversation ends unless a legal need requires longer storage.
- Comments are retained while the article and discussion remain available or until a justified deletion request is accepted.
- The analytics-consent choice is stored for up to 180 days, after which consent is requested again.
- GA4 event data is retained according to the configured period, currently expected to be 14 months.
- Advertising cookies follow the periods disclosed by Google and other providers in the consent platform.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability; object to processing; or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.
Email [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity so that information is not disclosed to another person. You may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
Children
The website is not directed specifically at children, and we do not knowingly seek to collect children’s personal data. A parent or legal guardian who believes a child submitted information without appropriate consent may contact us to request review and deletion.
Security and policy changes
We use technical and organizational security measures, but no internet transmission is completely secure. This policy may change when website features, providers, or legal requirements change. The current update date always appears at the top of this page.
